- Seed Treatment:
- Farmers are advised to treat potato seeds using a solution made up of:
- 5 liters of water
- 50 ml of Mi Proud
- 50 gm of Grow Magic Advance
- 25 ml of Mi Spray Plus
- The seeds should be soaked in this mixture for 30 minutes before being dried in the shade and subsequently sown in the main field.
- Soil Preparation:
- For optimal planting conditions, it is recommended to incorporate:
- 4 kg of Bhuastra Super
- 100 gm of Grow Magic Advance
- A first dose of fertilizer.
- To encourage better germination and a stronger initial plant stand, farmers should reduce the fertilizer dosage by half.
- Disease and Pest Control:
- To manage fungal diseases affecting potatoes, Indiagro suggests spraying a mixture of:
- 2 ml of Mi Proud
- 1 gm of Grow Magic Advance
- 0.5 ml of Mi Spray Plus per liter of water.
- This spray should be applied every 15 days until harvesting. In case of pest attacks, farmers should add 2 ml of Mi Veer per liter of water to the spraying mixture.
- Fungal Infection Prevention:
- To mitigate the risk of fungal infections during the tuber development stage, farmers are encouraged to apply 500 ml of MI Garv per acre in the soil at two key growth stages:
- 45 to 55 days
- 85 to 95 days.
