Global Potato Summit 2026

The 2nd Global Potato Summit (GPS 2026) returns to Gandhinagar, Gujarat on December 16-17, 2026 at the Mahatma Mandir Convention & Exhibition Centre. Organized by Media Today Pvt. Ltd., GPS 2026 builds on the success of the inaugural edition which attracted over 10,000 visitors, 200+ exhibitors from 20+ countries, and 50+ expert speakers.

GPS 2026 is a farm-to-fork platform uniting the entire potato value chain — growers, processors, manufacturers, exporters, policymakers, researchers, investors, and global buyers. The two-day summit features four pillars of engagement: a world-class exhibition showcasing technology, machinery, seeds, packaging, and cold chain solutions; a conference with global experts addressing 10 core themes; organized farm and factory visits to Gujarat's potato processing belt; and an awards ceremony recognizing industry excellence.

Gujarat was chosen as the host state for its significance as India's premier processed potato hub — home to McCain Foods India's Mehsana plant, Balaji Wafers' Rajkot facility, and a rapidly expanding frozen fries industry. The state offers a strong MSME ecosystem, modern cold storage networks, port connectivity through Mundra and Pipavav for exports, and investor-friendly policies with dedicated food processing parks.

India's frozen and processed potato market is projected to grow from USD 1.77 billion (2023) to USD 7.23 billion by 2032, at a CAGR of 17%. Potato chips alone represent roughly 30% of India's organized snack market. GPS 2026 positions itself at the intersection of this explosive growth and India's role as the world's second-largest potato producer with 58 million tonnes annually.

The exhibition offers shell scheme stalls from ₹10,500/sqm and raw space from ₹10,000/sqm (plus 18% GST), with an expected 15,000 delegates and visitors from 15+ countries. Stall possession begins December 14, with a design approval deadline of November 16, 2026.
